Arts and Culture
Neighborhoods near campus, such as King William Historic District, are home to galleries and studios showcasing the work of San Antonio artists and artisans. Monthly, bi-monthly, and annual art walks through historic neighborhoods showcase the works of San Antonio and Hill Country artists and artisans. Annual festivals not only feature art, but music, food, and dance.
Dining and Nightlife
Closer to campus, popular Trinity hangouts include Bombay Bicycle Club, Taco Taco Cafe (there’s even one on campus!), the original Taco Cabana, Tycoon Flats, Main Street Pizza, and Chris Madrid’s. Just up the road, students frequent The Quarry Market, with dozens of restaurants, shops, and a movie theater. The St. Mary’s strip, Upper Broadway, and Southtown also feature an eclectic variety of bars and eateries.
Shopping
From upscale malls and shopping centers to Mexican markets and antiques, there’s something for everyone in San Antonio. A 20-minute drive north of campus takes you to the Hill Country where you can experience the Shops at La Cantera, while a 5-minute drive west down Hildebrand offers plenty of opportunities to scavenge for treasures!
